Teacher

“There is great discipline, focus, and hard work that goes into dancing but it is essential not to forget the joy and the unity that dance harvests. Ultimately, I want to inspire kids and push them to their fullest creative potential.”

As a teacher the mission is to lead by example and instill a life-long, mutual relationship with the creative arts. I love teaching because it provides me a platform to mentor the younger generation. Dance gives back to an individual in so many ways- it demands discipline, team work, and problem solving. It is an inclusive space and acts as a safe haven where people can feel accepted no matter their race, age, gender, or ability. Harvesting a nurturing, positive environment where each dancer can excel is essential to the development of each child.

One of my favorite things is to travel across the nation to connect with new dancers and share my experiences. I have taught masterclasses and workshops at several studios in Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan.

In addition to class teachings, I coach and mentor young ice skaters in Ballet Technique. Ballet is great cross-training for skaters where they can work on their strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, and performance quality.
